This sweet little quilt, full of sailboats and waves, is an ideal pattern to make for a nursery, a child's room, or anywhere you'd like a nautical feel - or just want to hang something cute!

Cutting instructions are included for both a scrappy look as shown and a single fabric for each element. Don't feel limited with your colour choices. The quilt would look very striking with deep indigo waves and a violet background, with boats in bright jewel tones, or why not try a sunset colour scheme? Just make sure you have contrast between each element.

Included at the end of the pattern are two sheets of flying geese foundation paper piecing templates, ideal to use up the scraps from your quilt. There are also some ideas on how to use them.

I write my patterns with the beginner in mind. Comprehensive instructions full of illustrations guide you step by step through the making of the quilt. Due to the small pieces in this quilt, I would recommend it for a confident beginner through to more experienced sewist. However, if you're willing to take your time and check your accuracy, a newer beginner could certainly give it a go. If you need any help along the way, I'm more than happy to give you advice - just send me an email to the address included in the pattern, and I'll get back to you as soon as I am able.

The quilt finishes at approximately 22.5" wide x 27.25" tall (before quilting), with sailboats that finish at 2.75" tall. See image of back cover for fabric requirements.
